Located at the dominant interchange of I-26 and Long Shoals Road, Town Square boasts having an average daily traffic count of over 80,000 cars.  It is anticipated that traffic will increase significantly upon the completion of the current NC DOT widening of Long Shoals Road to five (5) lanes.  Town Square is located within the heart of South Asheville's explosive residential corridor, the area's many tourist attractions, as well as the Asheville Regional Airport, which has experienced eighteen (18) consecutive months of passenger growth. This sharp increase in air traffic demonstrates the growing lure of Asheville as a year-round tourist destination. Drawn by the robust business climate and natural beauty of the region, more and more families are also calling Asheville home.  Residential home sales have increased 6.8% over last year, with the price of a home averaging over $265,765 jumping by 22.2%.**  In 2006, the nine-county Asheville Region had an estimated population of 574,238**.
